Last month, I had an epiphany regarding Twitter.? And I now realize how powerful of a platform it is.? Social Media is here to stay whether you like-it/understand-it or not.? I mean, Facebook is now the number 2 website in the world right now…they’re actually making a movie about it.? Facebook is second only to Google and I have a feeling that they won’t be second place for long.? The Facebook advertising model alone blasts Google’s out of the water.? Google ads are just about dead….Facebook ads are where it’s at right now (in case you were wondering).
Twitter is not far behind.? Most people don’t know what to make of Twitter right now.? Some think it’s a waste of time, some don’t really get it, some think it’s a game, etc.? If you find yourself automatically rejecting new technology when you don’t understand it, you should use that of a measurement of how much you need to learn it.? The more “out-there” of a concept it is, the higher the chances are of it being groundbreaking.
I like to think of Twitter as one big internet chat-room.? Remember when those where popular?? Anyway, you can use it to just blurt out a random thought, engage in a conversation with someone, respond to someone elses’ random thought, etc.? These actions can be beneficial as you may convert that someone into a tenant, or that person may have a house to sell, etc.? Now this may seem far-fetched as there are so many people on Twitter.? Well, there are ways to narrow down the folks you interact with by where they live, what they’ve tweeted about in the past (perhaps “foreclosure”), and etc.
Here is a video of one ways I use Hootsuite (an application for Twitter).? Perhaps this can shed some light on how you can Tweet some cash into your bank account.? This will be a multiple part series.
